On Tuesday, September 28, we drove from Norman to Gallup NM to spend the night there. So on Wednesday, we left Gallup, stopped for a brief lunch in Flagstaff, then drove up toward the Grand Canyon. Before reaching the Grand Canyon, we stopped at an overlook in the Navajo Nation overlooking a gorge carved by the Little Colorado River.

We then drove west into the east entrance of Grand Canyon National Park, stopping at the different vistas in the east end of the Park, including Desert View, Navajo Point, Lipan Point, Moran Point and Grandview Point.

We chose Lipan Point as where we would take this evening's sunset photos.
