September 23 and 24, 2009: Moab and Arches National Park

On the 23rd, did the Park Avenue hike in Arches National Park. This is the first time I had actually done this hike. Otherwise, we took it easy again today.

On the 24th, I hit a couple of areas around Moab during the day, including Faux Falls south of town. (It's is called Faux Falls since it is not a natural falls, but the result of a diversion of a creek. But I like it, so whatever.)

The main goal of the day was the hike up to Delicate Arch for sunset. But we also decided to stay up there past sunset and take some shots of Delicate Arch with the night sky. So after the crowds on the rim thinned after sunset, the three of us and two other photographers were the only ones left.
